American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) Internship

PWC majors at SMSU who will complete their junior year by June 2014 are eligible to apply for a 10-week paid summer internship offered by the American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME). MARKETING MATERIAL CONTENT WRITER

The Marketing Material Content Writer is responsible for the management and creation of written marketing content regarding Rycan’s web-based healthcare software. Responsibilities include researching, writing, organizing, and editing promotional materials for publications in both print and web formats. Other duties include writing content for white papers, articles, newsletters, press releases, social media posts, email blasts, and web pages. To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess strong written communication skills, the ability to research and analyze topics, and the knack to work on multiple projects from concept to publication while writing within the brand’s tone and voice. A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or similar work and education experience in the development of marketing content preferred. Knowledge of search engine optimization, pay-per-click advertising, social media marketing, and healthcare knowledge is a plus.
