Sr Training & Development Specialist-12008497 Description Schwan's Shared Services, LLC is seeking a Sr. Training & Development Specialist to join our High Performance Development Solutions team (HPDS) in support of the Schwan’s Food Service business unit. This role works cross-functionally within HPDS and with the business unit to define an approach and design for various areas of training needs. Using strong project management skills and training & development experience, they will work with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and develop training materials for Classroom, Web-Ex, and online Modules. This person will work collaboratively with the corporate training & organizational development teams and Food Service on the development and on-going updates for the On-line Modules. The audience for training would be Food Service internal employees as well as external business partners. Develops an in-depth understanding of the skills and knowledge needed for assigned customers & areas of responsibility. Accurately completes performance gap analysis using standardized assessment tools and manages the design and development of cost- effective learning options that improve the performance of employees and completes the learning objectives. Consults with management about individual and team development plans. Conducts instructor-led training and facilitation. Designs and develops learning materials to fit curriculum. Completes learner knowledge and skill verifications on each skill set. Completes summative evaluations to improve learning effectiveness and efficiencies. Facilitates organizational change/development activities. Works with development teams to develop a more comprehensive plan to optimize talent including the deployment of leadership development planning for the business unit. Helps manage the identification, development, and deployment of leadership learning across the organization and may serve as a mentor and evaluator of lower level staff. Promotes collaboration partnerships and relationships among internal customers. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's degree preferred Years of Related Experience: Minimum 4 years related Training or Learning & Development experience Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Advanced ability to effectively measure learning needs. Advanced ability to effectively create learning tools and environments. Advanced ability to effectively design and deliver learning to a wide variety of audiences. Solid ability to effectively evaluate learning effectiveness and adjust as necessary. Advanced interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in the operation of a personal computer in a Windows environment to include the Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, to manage multiple projects, to meet deadlines, to problem solve, to work under pressure and to mentor staff as appropriate. Wimpy Analytics, a software startup, is seeking a writing and marketing intern/part-time staff member to become part of a fun, enthusiastic team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for writing blog posts and press releases, researching and pitching to markets of potential interest, and writing short descriptions of prizes to be given away on the company’s flagship website, Coppergoose.com. Time commitment will be about 5-10 hours a week and all work can be done remotely with a computer that has access to the Internet. The position pays $10/hr with long-term possibility for the right fit. The position is open to anyone with good writing skills willing to work remotely, whether or not you are a formal student. Job Description

The intern program in Senator Franken’s office strives to fully immerse the interns in the legislative process. Interns will be paired with a legislative assistant who matches their issue area of interest, and will assist this staffer with policy research, as well as attend committee hearings and other Senate events. They will be a vital component of keeping the office functional, by assisting with the constituent mail process and managing the front desk.

In addition to assisting the office, interns will receive unique career development opportunities. Through working with legislative staff and meeting with senior staff and the Senator, interns will be able to make an informed decision about what areas of political work interest them. By making full use of the career development courses offered in the Senate, interns will know how best to succeed in a political career in the area that they enjoy the most.
