Assistant Editor, Amazon. Shopbop.com, a leading voice in online fashion retail, is looking for a technically minded writer with knowledge of fashion terminology & a meticulous, uncompromising eye for detail to assist in the writing & editing of product copy for our web store. Job Responsibilities: write technical descriptions for apparel, shoes, & accessories under tight production timelines & in a fast-paced environment; write & organize brand biographies with each new season; organize information requests & daily product work lists; research & stay up to date on customs requirements & regulations for international shipments. Basic Qualifications: BA in Writing, English, or equivalent; knowledge of technical apparel, accessory, & footwear terminology; excellent writing & copyediting skills with applied experience in both areas; basic HTML knowledge & applied experience; impeccable attention to detail & understanding of subtleties within the language; basic computer skills & proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
